    Locate the serial number:
    Volkswagen, Skoda and SEAT     car radios will normally contain a 14 digit serial number which can be found either printed on a label or engraved on the side of the unit. The serial numbers are started with VWZ (Wolkswagen), SKZ (Skoda), or SEZ (SEAT).
    These serials are only visible once the Volkswagen radio has been removed from the vehicle.
    For Audi RNS-E systems: Newer software displays the SN on the code entry screen. If the code has been entered already you can see the SN in engineering mode or read it out with VAg-COM/VCDS/VAS if the unit is connected to a car. Without power you cannot see the SN anywhere. For Ford radios , you can get serial number by pressing buttons 1 & 6 or 2 & 6 together, then scroll down or wait till it shows up. Example: V123456 it may scroll other numbers.If serial not present, you will have to remove radio to view serial number.Contact us if you have problem for locating the SN.

Additional information about Volkswagen radio codes and decoding
